Don't let the pressure to come up with a truly original costume seem daunting. Creative Halloween costumes are not that difficult or complicated with a little imagination and an appreciation of the bizarre. Sometimes just the combination of two unlikely themes is enough to give a costume that extra flare.
For example, how about a bodybuilding cheerleader? Muscle suits are available in most costume shops. Add a couple of pom poms and a cheerleading skirt and you have a rather bizarre look. Or if you just love that traditional ghost look, why not modernize? Hang some random objects from your sheeted veil and turn punk ghost or hobo ghost or trash ghost! Perhaps a gory and creepy mask combined with a lovely princess costume would enhance the royal look.
Then, of course, there are the wholly original looks. Simply find a random object to emulate and you have a costume idea! You can be a computer, or a lamp that lights up, or a fish in a tank. With no limits and some basic supplies you are ready to shock the world with a truly unique look.
